Your living room is the face of your home. We design living spaces that are beautiful, comfortable and unmistakably yours - with custom TV units, feature walls, and layered lighting.
Before any material or colour is selected, we draw the furniture layout to scale. We calculate viewing distance from sofa to TV (ideally 2.5 to 3 times the screen diagonal), coffee table clearances (450mm minimum), and sofa-to-sofa conversation distances. When furniture is placed correctly, the room functions. When it is placed by eye, it often does not - and no amount of expensive finishes fixes a room where the sofa faces the wrong wall.
Every well-designed living room has one dominant wall and three recessive walls that support it. We identify the feature wall first - usually the TV wall or the wall you face when entering - and give it the most visual weight: stone cladding, fluted panels, or a dramatic wallpaper. The other three walls are kept calm. When all four walls compete equally, the room feels busy and unresolved. We never make this mistake.
Living rooms need three lighting circuits. Ambient - cove lighting or ceiling fixtures that fill the room. Task - reading lights and functional spots. Accent - lighting that highlights art, the TV wall, or a display niche. Each has its own dimmer. In the evening, switch off the ambient and run only the accent and cove - and the room transforms from a functional daytime space to a warm, intimate evening room.
We select all materials across the living room, dining area and entry foyer together - not room by room. The floor finish, wall treatment tones and furniture finishes are all chosen to flow seamlessly from space to space. When you walk from the foyer into the living room and into the dining area, it should feel like one cohesive home, not three separately decorated rooms that happen to share a corridor.
