Your master bedroom is your most personal sanctuary. We design master bedrooms that feel like a five-star retreat - with bespoke wardrobes, layered lighting, upholstered headboards and the finest finishes.
A five-star hotel bedroom always has three separate lighting circuits - ambient, task and accent. Ambient fills the room. Task is the adjustable bedside reading light that does not disturb your partner. Accent highlights the headboard wall. We design all three separately with independent dimmers so you can shift from a bright morning room to a soft, warm evening retreat with no rewiring - just a dimmer.
The headboard wall is the first thing you see when you enter a bedroom. We design it as a composed piece - the headboard panel, flanking side tables, wall sconces and ceiling element above are all planned together as a single composition. When these elements are sized and spaced in proportion, the wall has an architectural quality that no amount of paint or accessories can replicate.
A master bedroom feels resolved when the bed has equal visual weight on both sides - matching side tables, matching pendants or wall lights, matching bedside storage. We always plan the bed position and clearances around it first: minimum 750mm clear on each side for comfortable movement. Once the bed is placed correctly, everything else is arranged to maintain balance in the room.
Hard surfaces - tiles, bare concrete, glass - reflect sound and make a bedroom feel like an echo chamber. We introduce soft furnishings, upholstered panels, curtains and rugs as part of the design - not as decoration but as deliberate sound absorption. A bedroom with good acoustic treatment feels noticeably quieter and more restful. We also specify acoustic blackout curtains for rooms facing roads or with early morning sun.
